Founded in 1851 and located in Great Western in the heart of the Grampians, Seppelt is one of Australia’s most important and most historic wineries. From the cool Grampians country, the wild Henty hinterland and the famous gold-bearing soils of Heathcote, Seppelt specialises in crafting cool-climate wines that express the personalities and unique terroirs of some of Victoria’s finest vineyards.

The Seppelt portfolio includes some of Australia’s most lauded wines, including the flagship St Peters Grampians Shiraz, the Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz and the mythical Drumborg Vineyard Riesling. The winery also has a rich heritage in sparkling wine – producing Australia’s first vintage in 1890 – and today is the country’s most awarded producer of sparkling wine. Seppelt is also a pioneer of sparkling shiraz – a uniquely Australian wine style for which it is considered by many to be the benchmark of.

Today winemaking is led by Seppelt Senior Winemaker Adam Carnaby who continues to build upon the Seppelt legacy, with a particular focus on shiraz, chardonnay, riesling, sparkling white and sparkling shiraz.
