Vineyard & Blend
The estate’s vines grow on the “Plateau de Mouton” in Pauillac, rooted in gravelly soils that favour Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2019 vintage is composed of approximately 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot, reflecting the estate’s classic structure and power.

2019 was a warm, generous year in Bordeaux. A long, sunny summer with cool nights ensured ideal ripening, producing grapes of outstanding quality. The wines are celebrated for their balance of concentration and freshness, with immense potential for long-term cellaring.
Tasting Notes
The 2019 Mouton Rothschild shows an opaque ruby-purple color. The nose bursts with crème de cassis, plum, blackberry, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and a touch of forest floor. On the palate it is full-bodied and powerful, with dense fruit, polished tannins, and a vibrant mineral edge. The finish is very long, layered, and elegant—showcasing both intensity and finesse.
Label Art
The 2019 label was designed by German contemporary artist Ólafur Elíasson. His design features three concentric ovals symbolizing the sun, earth, and moon, celebrating the passage of time and nature’s influence on wine.
