Talisker 30 Year Old, a rare annual selection expression, is re-released in carefully limited quantities, following the last bottling in 2017. The expression celebrates the summit of Skye, which reveals the true magnificence of the island. The Cuillin mountains stretch into the distance, tumbling towards the sea. The peaks pierce the sky above, their power reflected in Loch Coruisk below.
As the pinnacle of Skye, Talisker 30 Year Old captures the very essence of the wild island and is offered in its purest form; annually varying refill casks, non-coloured and non-chill filtered, and bottled at natural cask strength. An elegant and complex expression with Talisker hallmarks of pepper and smoke in a softer and more subtle way.
Critic tasting note: "Honey, salted caramel, sea spray, beach bonfire, cream, and gentle black pepper on the nose, drifting into Highland toffee and banana chip. It's much mellower and less spicy than younger Taliskers, with more honeyed, creamy sweetness on the palate of lemon, lime, apricot, and a gentle whirl of pepperiness.
